BACKGROUND OF UMPCERT
ESTABLISHMENT OF UMPCERT
Universiti Malaysia Pahang Computer Emergency Response Team (UMPCERT) was approved in the ICT Council Meeting No. 1/2012 on 24 April 2012.
The establishment of UMPCERT is in line with the directive from MAMPU in Circular No. 4 2006, Item 4 (The Establishment of Agency Incident Controller) as one of the measures to strengthen ICT security incident management in order for the government to continue functioning and providing service delivery. Agency CERT will act as the first level support to MAMPU GCERT in handling ICT security incidents, controlling and providing technical advice on ICT security
To handle ICT security incident management for Department/Division under its purview
Members of the UMPCERT consist of the Manager (ICTSO), 11 members and the secretariat from ICT Compliance Division.
