  • To receive and detect ICT security complaints as well as assess the level and type of incident
  • To record and conduct preliminary investigation the incident
  • To respond to ICT security incidents and take minimal measures
  • To contact and report the incident to MAMPU GCERT either as input or for further action
  • To advise departments and UMP personnel in matters relating to recovery and enhancements
  • To promote all information related to ICT security incidents to all UMP personnel and students
  • To assess and ensure the level of ICT security and take necessary recovery or enhancement measures to increase the level of ICT infrastructure safety as well as avoid the occurrence of new incidents
  • To formulate UMPCERT ICT Security Guidelines
  • To improve the Standard Operating Procedure for ICT Security Incident Management in UMP
  • To report in the UMP ICT Steering Committee Meeting
